Erdi Engin brings a dynamic blend of high-level playing experience, elite youth development expertise, and modern coaching methodology to Hoover-Vestavia Soccer’s MLS NEXT program. A former first-team player with a 12-year professional playing career, Erdi is a U.S. Soccer A-licensed coach with nearly a decade of experience across top youth environments and the NCAA Division I level. His coaching background includes roles at Northern Kentucky University, Cincinnati United Premier, Madison 56ers, where he has consistently demonstrated the ability to develop players and build high-performance environments. Erdi has a proven track record of player advancement, contributing to college placements - including multiple NCAA Division I Athletes, and while also leading teams to league titles and national-level competition. His work in talent identification and player pathway development has helped guide players toward collegiate and pre-professional opportunities. At HVS, Erdi plays a key role in delivering the club’s MLS NEXT vision - developing complete players through a high-performance training environment, strong tactical identity, and a clear pathway to the next level.
